What is nutritional therapy?

It may sound complicated, but nutritional therapy is actually quite simple. It’s about identifying the unique needs of your body and working out which foods work well to meet those needs – and which ones work against you. Then it’s following a plan to get everything back in balance so your overall health, mood, immune system and energy levels can all receive a boost.

I’m here to help you regain control of your health and start the journey towards feeling better.

How I work

A 10-minute appointment really isn’t long enough to fully understand what’s happening with your body. I can spend much more time finding out how you’re feeling, what you’re worried about, how you live and what’s normal for you. So rather than just treating your obvious symptoms, let’s discover what’s really going on.

I like to keep my approach as simple as possible. To help you understand what to expect from nutritional therapy, I’ve broken it down into five easy steps:

  • Step 1:

Before we meet, I’ll ask you to complete a detailed health questionnaire and keep a seven-day food diary. We’ll use this as a starting point to investigate the root of your problems and identify foods that support your health – and those that are working against it.

  • Step 2:

At our first consultation, it’s time to unravel your unique health story. We’ll start at the beginning, talking about any illnesses you’ve had, what you’re struggling with right now and the health goals you want to achieve.

  • Step 3:

Once I have all this information, I will review the systems in your body that need help and support. If the picture still isn’t clear, I may recommend some functional testing to help us establish what’s going on under the surface.

  • Step 4:

Using all the information we’ve uncovered I’ll create your personalised nutritional and lifestyle plan. A plan that not only helps your body function better, but also fits in easily with your daily routine.

  • Step 5:

We all have busy lifestyles – and I know it’s not easy sticking to new ways of doing things. That’s why my packages are designed to support and guide you all the way. We’ll review your plan at each appointment to ensure we stay on track.

Occasionally, I may recommend on-going support from another health professional such as an Acupuncturist, Chiropractor, Physiotherapist or Herbalist. If that’s the case, I’ll recommend someone fully qualified and experienced to help you.

I’d love to help you feel more like the old you. So why not get in touch?
